With their insatiable curiosity, desire to explore and surprising strength, babies and young children are experts at escaping even the most attentive adult's supervision. It only takes a second and they have defeated your best efforts to watch and protect them. Since this time yesterday, 11 children drown in the United States. Another 39 fell into the water and sustained permanent brain damage. In Florida and 18 other states, childhood drownings are the #1 cause of accidental death for children under the age of four. But drowning is a preventable tragedy!

For more than 40 years, Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) has been teaching children critical self-rescue™ skills, giving children the competence and confidence to safely enjoy the water. ISR’s technique teaches babies from 6 months to 6 years of age how to save themselves if they were to end up in the water alone. ISR is the most comprehensive drowning prevention program in the world.  ISR teaches aquatic independence and problem solving through highly effective specialized survival swimming lessons for children ages 6 months to 6 years old.  Select the "Class Structure" tab to find out more about what your child will learn in lesson.

Because, every child learns at his or her own pace, your child will be gently guided through each skill level.

ISR has safely delivered over 7 million lessons teaching water self-rescue skills to more than 200,000 infants and toddlers and has educated parents and medical experts nationwide on water safety techniques and proven instruction methods. To date, ISR has 788 documented cases of children using ISR techniques to save themselves from drowning.
